Above is a snippet from our forthcoming album review of Dam-Funk's second LP, Invite The Light. Dam just released another single from the album, "Glyde 2nyte", and it's been one of our favorites from the time we first heard the album. Below you'll find our thoughts on it.

There's something nostalgic about "Glyde 2nyte", and although funk's heyday was long before the 90s, its vocals manage to take us there. Guest contributors for "Glyde 2nyte", Leon Sylvers III and IV, channel the golden voice of Nate Dogg. His breakout hit with Warren G, "Regulate" (released in '94) is the premier G-funk track in the history of rap, and Dam-Funk is definitely on a G-funk level. We've always loved Dam's voice, and he clearly understand's the necessity of a great vocalist to make a great funk song. It make's sense that his collaboration with the Sylvers', who both have rich and smooth vocals (like Nate Dogg), could channel such a golden era of funk-influenced rap. Dam's new album, "Invite The Light" is almost here, and we heavily suggest you invest in it.
"We Continue" is the first single from Dam's forthcoming album, Invite The Light.
